UX Content Designer

Hybrid- Austin, TX

12 month W2 contract w/ benefits

UX Content Designer Responsibilities:

Content Creation & Development:
Write content for digital products, including web and app UIs, conversational experiences, and related documentation.
Develop content that aligns with the brand voice and tone across various product flows and systems.
Understand and apply insights from research to inform content strategy decisions.
Create content based on user needs, wants, and pain points, while considering project metrics, test data, and user feedback.
Collaboration & Feedback:
Work with design and development teams to structure content in formats that address user needs and business goals.
Participate in the creation of frameworks for content strategy and contribute to the growing design system.
Give, receive, and act on feedback constructively to improve content and processes.
Testing & Optimization:
Identify opportunities for content testing (e. g. , A/B, usability testing) and participate in user studies.
Apply findings from tests and user feedback to refine and improve content.
Accessibility & Standards:
Develop an understanding of accessibility, inclusion, readability, and translation standards.
Ensure that all content is clear, concise, and inclusive, meeting accessibility and language standards.
Continuous Learning & Growth:
Expand your knowledge of content strategy, UX writing, content modeling, and other related disciplines.
Stay up to date with best practices in content design and user-centered design principles.

UX Content Designer Qualifications:

Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e. g. , Communications, English, Design, Human-Computer Interaction) or equivalent professional experience in core content design skills.
Knowledge or experience in UX writing, content audits, content mapping, information architecture, and storytelling.
Core Skills & Knowledge:
Familiarity with UX design principles, including human-centered design (HCD) practices.
Understanding of content planning and sourcing, as well as techniques such as content mapping and modeling.
Awareness of accessibility, inclusivity, and usability standards in digital content.
Personal Attributes:
Thoughtful, empathetic, and inclusive approach to content design, ensuring it meets diverse user needs.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a willingness to learn and adapt.
A passion for travel and for the company's mission, with a keen interest in improving user experiences.

UX Content Designer Preferred Qualifications:

Portfolio demonstrating relevant work, including experience with Android and iOS apps.
Experience in platform or two-sided marketplace content design is a plus.

The hourly pay rate for this position is $50-65. Benefits available to full-time employees:
medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
