Project Overview:

The Cheniere Corpus Christi Liquefaction (CCL) Project is a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) export facility located on the north shore of Corpus Christi Bay in Gregory, Texas. The 1,000+ acre facility started bulk early works in July 2015 as the first greenfield export facility in the United States. Bechtel has successfully and safely completed construction and it now consists of three operating Trains with an LNG production capacity of approximately 15 million tons per year (MTPA), three LNG storage tanks with combined capacity of 480,000 cubic meters of LNG, 2 Jetty superstructures that can accommodate the world's largest vessels, and dozens of associated buildings and utilities.

Corpus Christi Liquefaction Project Stage 3 (CCL3) is a new phase at the existing CCL facility and will consist of seven midscale liquefaction trains with an LNG production capacity of approximately 10 MTPA and associated infrastructure including utilities. CCL3 will perform all this work predominantly on a direct hire basis with support from only a few specialty and service subcontractors.

Job Summary:

The Insulation Superintendent is responsible for supervising and directing operations within the insulation discipline and will report to the Lead CIF Superintendent. Supervises and directs insulation craft, subordinate supervisors, and others, as assigned. Ensures assigned construction performance is following specifications and within schedules and budgets.

In this role, you will monitor and organize subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project with multiple stakeholders' involvement, through the coordination and instruction of subcontractor's management staff. Your field supervision will help ensure operations are planned to coincide with overall established schedules and that work methods are planned and executed safely. Major Responsibilities:

• Provide ES&H leadership to personnel assigned to the insulation department. This includes preparation and implementation of safety procedures and leading Bechtel and subcontractor safety meetings.

• Inspect site for unsafe conditions and practices and take appropriate corrective action to correct breaches.

• Coordinate safety training and enforce safe work practices at all times in conjunction with the Environmental Safety and Health Supervisor.

• Champion the cause of ZERO Accident Philosophy. Ensure that Bechtel and local/national safety codes, requirements and standards are being complied with within assigned area of responsibility.

• Monitor the activities of craft to ensure compliance with specifications and schedules.

• Responsible for the cost, schedule, and optimization of craft labor and maintaining the 90 day and four week look ahead schedules for labor and equipment.

• Interface with Labor/Industrial Relations for craft recruitment and training programs.

• Review craft time records using established automated tools.

• Review and approve subcontractor equipment/personnel mobilization and demobilization.

• Responsible for implementing corporate project policies, procedures, and instructions within assigned electrical operations.

• Coordinate with the General Foreman to hire insulation craft labor to execute work.

• Coordinate established area operational plans.

• Provide input to quantity tracking applications and report weekly installed quantities to Project Controls.

• Prepare material requisitions for tools and consumables and coordinate through Procurement to obtain these materials.

• Assist in performing construction testing as required.

• Prepare reports and forecasts, including summary of construction progress, craft personnel forecasts, and expenditures forecasts.

• Plan the manpower and equipment required to execute the job.

• Perform employee reviews and identify training and development opportunities for subordinate electrical personnel.

• Perform other duties as required by Bechtel management.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• Experience on an LNG construction site especially along the U. S. Gulf Coast.

• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams.

• Heavy industrial direct hire construction experience commensurate with the type of work to be undertaken.

• Experience in oil, gas, refinery, petrochemical, minerals processing or power generating station construction is preferred.

• Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

• Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.

Additional Information:

Work includes field inspections and the physical ability to conduct field inspections which require the following activities: extensive walking in and around a construction site, climbing ladders, climbing scaffolding, working on elevated platforms, working on uneven surfaces and working in small or confined spaces. Some lifting may be required. Must have the ability to walk into and out of the project (enter/egress). Must be able to use appropriate standard issued Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) required for each assigned task (i. e. harness, life vest, lift buckets, etc. ).
