HPE is looking for an excellent network test engineer to support new feature development and regression testing throughout the network stack.
Key Responsibilities
Test Development :
Design and develop tests and strategies to verify network functionalities and performance
Problem Solving :
Utilize exceptional network problem-solving and debugging skills to triage customer issues and resolve internal test failures
Documentation :
Create comprehensive test plans, procedures, and processes to support new feature development and ongoing regression testing
Collaboration:
Work closely with development, build, and CI teams to integrate tests into our test and release process
Optimization :
Continuously review, optimize, and maintain existing tests and processes
Code Review :
Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices
Qualifications
BS or advanced degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent industry experience
8+ years' experience in a Network Test / Software Engineering role
Experience developing test plans / use cases and incorporating tests into a CI/CD environment
In-depth knowledge of data networking (TCP/IP, Ethernet, Linux network stack, and related technologies)
Experience in systems performance analysis and tuning
Strong background in Linux
Proficient in programming languages such as Python, BASH / shell scripting, C, etc.
Knowledge of RDMA networking and/or file systems is a plus
Good written and verbal communications skills.
Success working in a fast-paced, changing environment; strong sense of urgency
Experience in working with customers on issue resolution

The expected salary/wage range for a U.S.-based hire filling this position is provided below. USD Annual Salary:
$117,500.00 - $270,000.00 Estimated job application period closure is January 2025. While this is the expected application time frame, there are many factors which may result in a change.
