Your Mission is Ours.Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2025 Manufacturing Engineer Intern.
In this role, you will be working with shop floor personnel, design engineering, quality engineering, industrial engineering, and other engineering disciplines to support production of our various platforms.
The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of thriving in a fast-paced environment, enjoy working in a production environment with operators.
Be self-motivated, take initiative, and have strong work ethic and have a learning and continuous improvement attitude.
Manufacturing Engineers provide support for all stages of a platform's program lifecycle.
The Manufacturing Engineering (ME) discipline is consulted and responsible for manufacturing plan development, full-rate production standup and support, and post-delivery sustainment and modification activities.
MEs are integral at every program stage for efficient and effective aircraft production.
Must be a US Citizen.
This position is at a facility that requires special access.Basic Qualifications:
• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a technology-related degree plan, e.g., Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Manufacturing & Mechanical Engineering Technology, Product Design and Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering Technology, or Aeronautics Engineering Technology• Other degrees within consideration include:
Product Engineering and Assembly, Manufacturing Quality and Productivity, Manufacturing System Design, Process and Product Engineering, Materials and Manufacturing Processes, Manufacturing Process and Tool Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aero Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering• Desire to obtain an Operations role indicated by expressing interest in 'hands-on' applications of engineering and manufacturing principles• Must be a US Citizen.
This position is located at a facility that requires special access.Desired Skills:
• Member of the SME, SAE, ASME, or other similar technical organization• Design, build club/project experience (i.e., SAE Formula and Baja)• Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment• Previous manufacturing/operations experienceClearance Level:

The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees.
Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
