Performs epidemiological investigation activities related to analyzing and interpreting illness data collected as a part of a bioterrorism surveillance/public health emergency team.
Assist with the development, maintenance and analysis of a standard data collection system.
Performs statistical analyses of health data, to include descriptive analysis, univariate analysis, trend analysis, multiple logistic regression and survival analysis, and reviews data results and reports for completeness and accuracy.
Secures and analyzes data concerning specific causes of morbidity and mortality; prepares literature, graphs and demonstrations concerning epidemiology disease control; and compiles and maintains related reports.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Public Health, or in a job-related field of study.
Two (2) years of work-related experience.
Ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, and establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, departments and the general public.
Requires knowledge of principles, practices, current developments and techniques related to epidemiology, public health and disease outbreak investigations.
