Job Summary:


Apex is seeking an intern to join the Data team. As a member of this team, you'll have a large impact on the firm by adding your data engineering experience to our organization and employees, in a rapidly growing environment. Additionally, our diverse business streams afford you the unique opportunity to grow across a variety of verticals, engaging you in unique challenges, projects, and technologies.

To be considered, you must be able to commit to a 10-week hybrid internship and work 40 hours per week during our summer program.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data infrastructure and pipelines on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to understand data requirements and implement solutions that support data-driven projects.
Contribute to the development and management of workflows
Participate in logging and debugging efforts to ensure data accuracy and pipeline reliability.
Support the team in using project management and issue-tracking tools like JIRA to organize and prioritize tasks.
Assist in researching and implementing best practices for data engineering processes.

Education and Experience:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related STEM field.
Senior standing, May 2026 graduate
Experience with any modern programming languages such Python & Java
Familiarity with cloud computing, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Basic understanding of data pipeline orchestration tools, such as Airflow.
Experience with logging and debugging techniques for data-related issues.
Familiarity with project management tools like JIRA.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
General interest in Fintech.

Work Environment:
This internship operates in an office environment.
This internship operates on a hybrid schedule in Austin, TX

Salary:
$25 per hour.
