Shuttle Driver - 3rd Shift 10pm to 6:30am 24.16 per hour

Utilization of a Peterbilt Tractor & Ottawa, (Tractor/Trailer 53ft) used for transporting product between the Mix Plant and Granite Point Warehouse.
• Additional $1.50 per hour shift differential for hours worked between 6pm-6am
• Must be flexible for overtime and weekend work

Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain equipment daily
Inspect tractor and trailers before use and document
Drive at proper speed, look out for pedestrians and obey all traffic laws
Log all trips and mileage
Transport loaded trailers between the Mix Plant and Granite Point Warehouse
Maintain cleanliness of tractor and trailers
Complete all documentation completely & accurately
Complete all training as required

Education/Certifications:

High School Diploma, GED
Class A CDL driver's license
DOT certified

Experience:

3 years driving experience
1-2 years warehouse experience
Stand up forklift experience preferred not required

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Able to communicate in English
Ability to pass all DOT requirements
Knowledge of all DOT Rules and Regulations.
Excellent awareness of surroundings/other employees.
Some knowledge of distribution center operations

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:• Work involves daily exposure to unusual elements such as dirt, dust, fumes, darkness and/or noise. Seasonal exposure to weather elements includes, but is not limited to, extreme temperatures, wetness and humidity.
• Work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks such as working around mechanical equipment, forklifts, chemical hazards, and electrical hazards.• Position requires the ability to walk around the office and plant; carrying packages up to 50 pounds; utilizing fine dexterity; getting in and out of the tractor multiple times a day; reaching and kneeling on a daily basis. Also requires the ability to see, hear and communicate with associates as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette.
• Personal protective equipment, as defined by C.H. Guenther and Sons will be provided.Expectations:

Learn the warehouse operations
Work in the warehouse as needed
Cover shuttle drivers vacations
