The Hotel Indigo is currently seeking a dynamic, experienced and motivated individual for the position of Banquet cook at our StepStone Hospitality managed room hotel. This candidate should demonstrate excellent organizational & communication skills; a strong proficiency in multi-tasking with hospitality operations experience essential. A Texas Food Handler Certification is required. Must have experience in an A la carte restaurant. Must be able to saut', fry, grill, and multi-task. Cook tickets to order. Ability to follow written and verbal direction.
Requirements:Prepare and cook a wide range of dishes according to recipes and menu specifications
• Plan and execute menu items for banquets, events, and special occasions
• Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and efficient food preparation
• Monitor food quality and presentation to meet our high standards
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies as needed
• Support the overall operation of the kitchen as required
Qualifications:
• Previous experience working in a kitchen or culinary environment, preferably in banquets or catering
• Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary principles
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Knowledge of menu planning and recipe development
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices
• Ability to work well within a team environment
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
