Job Title: Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift

Virtus Healthcare Staffing connects top healthcare professionals with leading institutions across the country. We are currently partnering with a Level III Trauma Medical Center in Abilene, TX to find a highly skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist for their night shift team.
Job Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals. This role requires a strong understanding of respiratory care principles and procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient safety and well-being.
Responsibilities:
Administer respiratory treatments and therapies to patients with various respiratory conditions.
Perform diagnostic tests, such as pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas analysis.
Monitor patients' respiratory status and adjust treatment plans as needed.
Educate patients and families about respiratory care and disease management.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide optimal patient care.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
Current Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential REQUIRED.
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
ENPC or PALS certification required
NRP certification required
Previous experience in a hospital setting REQUIRED.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong commitment to patient care and safety.
