Consult with patients to learn about their physical condition and symptoms and review their medical history and referrals from doctors or surgeonsDiagnose movement dysfunction by listening to patients and observing them as they move aboutDevelop an individualized treatment planCoach patients and teach them therapeutic exercises and stretches to improve their conditionUse hands-on therapy such as massage to ease patients pain and provide stimulation to promote healingMaintain patient records by keeping track of goals and progress while adapting treatment plans accordinglyAdvise patients and their families on in-home treatment options and what to expect from the recovery processCommunication skills for communicating diagnoses, test results and available treatments in terms that clients and their families can understandCompassion when working with individuals frustrated by the difficulties they are experiencingCritical thinking skills for adjusting treatment plans as required and identifying alternative ways to helpAttention to detail for maintaining notes on treatment and progressListening skills for listening to concerns and symptoms of clients so they can decide the most appropriate course of treatmentQualifications:
Valid Physical Therapy license Experienced in Outpatient orthopedic, sports and general rehab with some inpatientRecent Physical Therapy experience in a rehab settingBLS CertificationBenefits:
