Days/PMs with on-call rotation, primarily 6:
45 AM - 3:
15 PM with 1-2 days per week working a PM shift of 10:
45 AM - 7:
15 PM or 11:
45 AM - 8:
15 PM.
Occasional call is required.
Guaranteed Hours:
36 per week Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience; cardiac experience required; scrub experience preferred.
License:
Licensed as an RN in state of practice Certifications:
Approved BLS certification; Approved ACLS certification Must-Have:
Experience in operating room environments, especially cardiac procedures.

- Utilize the nursing process and critical thinking in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members to care for patients.
• Perform assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluation of care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, standards of care, and state laws/practice acts as required by care settings.
• Ensure all documentation is accurate and comprehensive in line with established standards of care for documentation at the system and entity levels.
• Develop, initiate, and execute patient care plans according to the patient's individualized needs, as prescribed by the physician and/or hospital policy.
• Utilize available resources to teach and support patient and family education, providing education at the appropriate level of understanding.
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient's longitudinal plan of care.
• Resolve systems breakdowns and engage in providing solutions through critical thinking in regards to patient safety and patient experience; manage complex situations and delegate to other staff appropriately.
• Escalate to the appropriate chain of command as needed.
• Positively influence the professional and organizational environments and shared governance.
• Engage in personal development and support opportunities for continuous learning and growth, including developing or revising evidence-based practice guidelines.
• Support and participate in peer review and peer feedback opportunities.
• Participate in the professional nursing continuum.
• Clinic and Ambulatory RNs will maintain the timely flow of patients, respond to telephone calls, and perform telephone triage of patients.

Holiday coverage may be required.
