We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join the team on the Pediatric Float unit!
Nurses on this 21-bed unit care for children from newborn to adult.
Nurses will be floating to potentially five different units at the American Family Children's Hospital including seeing GC, IMC or ICU patients.
Nurses provide comprehensive care for patients admitted with a wide variety of both medical and surgical problems.
Problems include: general care along with ICU patients including acute head injuries, critical neurological disorders, pulmonary diseases, cardiac anomalies, organ transplantation, multi system organ failure, and ECMO.
Job Requirements

Must have at least 2 years of true Pediatric ICU (PICU) experience.
Must be willing to work in the ICU, IMC and GC units.
Trach experience is preferred.
Traveler must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years.
Traveler must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.
Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks).
Schedule Information

Travelers are the first to float to floors working with children up to 1 year of age and/or based on the traveler's competency skills/experience.
The Traveler may have shifts scheduled in multiple units, depending on the current staffing needs and/or different locations within the organization.
During the travelers assignment, if the primary unit no longer has a need, shifts will be re-assigned to another unit in order to complete contract.
Unit Specific Information

The Pediatric Float unit is a 21-bed unit caring for children from newborn to adult.
Nurses will be floating to potentially five different units.
Traveler must have Basic Arrhythmia experience.
Traveler will be required to pass UW Health Telemetry test prior to being cleared to start.

UW Health is moving away from using outdated file formats for Microsoft (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
