Travel Nurse RN - PCU - Progressive Care Unit 1,678 per week

Certification Details Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS.
Job Details A large system in Nebraska/Iowa are looking for Night PCU RN's.
12 hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed.
2 years of unit experience.
Job Requirements 2 years of unit experience.
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS certifications required.
Schedule Information Shifts & Scheduling: , / Smart Square online scheduling.
Weekend Requirements: Every third.
Holiday Requirements: Rotating with perm staff.
Unit Specific Information Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Adults, Cardiac med/surg, dialysis, cancer diagnosis, vascular, sepsis, adult respiratory, stroke, post stent, post pacer placement, renal failure.
Are RNs required to titrate drips?: Yes.
Common titratable &/or set rate drips: Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, insulin.
Is there a Charge Nurse on each shift? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?: Yes.
Are there nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit? Ratios? Duties?: Yes, 1:12.
RT Equipment (Vents, Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, etc.): High flow.
Are there Tele/Monitor Techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?: RNs must read and interpret.
Floating Requirements: Yes to MedSurg or to ICU to take PCU acuity patients.
Scrub Color/Dress code: Navy Blue.
How many shifts of unit/department specific orientation?: 1 week.
Additional Details WILL NOT APPROVE BLOCKED SCHEDULING OR SAME SCHEDULE/SHIFTS, MUST BE FLEXIBLE AND WILLING TO FLOAT AND WORK WHEN NEEDED.
Looking for someone who is flexible and willing to learn as well as take feedback along the way.
A nurse on this unit is successful if they are a team player, are flexible and adaptable, and have good communication skills.
Different cultural populations are served on this unit- primarily Hispanic and Somalian.
Radius Rule: 50 miles AND candidates may not be full time, part time, or PRN with any facility associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and/or Dignity.
RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract). Additional RTO will not be approved, including after submissions.
