Job Details Registered Nurse position at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center
Unit accommodates 1st timers with 2 years experience
Patient diagnoses include chest pain, CAD, PVD, arrhythmias, DM, COPD exacerbation, PNA, HTN, MI, renal failure, PE, CHF, GI bleed, syncope
Special procedures include pre/post cath lab, PPM/AICD, ablations, vascular surgeries, titration of drips, sheath pulling at bedside
Potential for med-surg overflow cases
Special equipment includes telemetry monitoring, chest tubes, PCAs, epidurals, wound vacs
Job Requirements Current/valid Drivers License/State ID or government photo ID required
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required if certification expires within 30 days of start
State License Verification required within 30 days of start
NURSYS Verification required within 30 days of start
Schedule Information Every other holiday
Can be pulled to all other inpatient units
Unable to guarantee specific scheduling requests
