All travelers subject to float between all Cone Health campuses if needed.
Minimum 2 years experience, FIRST TIME TRAVELERS - OK! Prefer first-timers have some experience in the area of surgery trauma.
Specialize in the care of stable trauma patients.
Pre-op and post-op care of surgical patient population.
Use of rapid response teams, blood product admin and peripheral line care and mgmt - required.
High volume patient populations include patients who have had exploratory laps, hemi-colectomies, mastectomies, lap cholecystectomies, eye surgeries, trauma and plastic surgeries.
Lower volume populations include other types of surgical procedures; such as GYN (hysterectomy, myomectomy, etc). Palliative care patients, 24-observation patients, and medical overflow patients are also a part of the population served.
