Key Policies:

RTO Policy: No RTO after booking; absences may lead to cancel/DNR.

Call-Offs: Must adhere to unit policies.

Patient Population:

Diagnosis:

General surgery and medical telemetry patients.

Cardiac telemetry, medical interventions, or surgical procedures.

Overflow for winter census.

Daily Census: ~18 patients.

Required Qualifications:

Experience:

2 years required OR 1 year with travel experience.

Certifications:

Required: ACLS, BCLS.

Preferred: NIH.

Skills: IV starts, telemetry.

Unit Details:

Target Ratios: 1:6-7.

Systems: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.

Notes:

1st-Time Travelers: Accepted.

High patient turnover: Be prepared for a fast-paced environment.
