The nursing staffincludes registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, nursingassistants, community health nurses, nurse practitioners, nursemidwives, CRNA, and community health medics.
This position is primarily within the Intensive Care Unit and periodicallywill FLOAT to ED, Med/Surg or Peds in case of low census.
ProvidesNursing Care to critically ill patients.
The Registered Nurse performs a variety of responsible nursing care procedures requiring professionalknowledge and consideration of specific patient conditions andtreatments and ability to work independently in completing assignments.Guidelines include doctors' orders, standards of care, nursing policiesand procedures manuals, hospital policies.
Nursing duties include theprovision of inpatient care and support in the 5 Bed I.C.U.
toindividuals of all ages and their families.
After hours recovery of post op general surgery, pediatric, & OB patients as needed.
NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Associate Degree in Nursing
Certifications:
• Must have and maintain a current valid unrestricted Professional NursingLicense (RN) to practice nursing in any state of the United States ofAmerica, The Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the UnitedStates
• Must maintain current valid certification of the following throughout employment:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) from the American Heart Association must be completed within six (6) months of hire.
• Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) must be completed within 6 months of hire
• National Institutes of Health (NIH) - NIHSS must be completed within 6 months of hire
