We are seeking a Food Team Members who will embody the heart and soul of our mission of creating memories worth repeating while bringing families closer together and caring deeply about our brand.

The right Food Team Members checklist will include equal parts curious learner, innovator, administrator, detail driver, mentor, and motivator.

Food Team Members are responsible for ensuring the safe, smooth, and efficient operation of their assigned location(s), as well as maintaining the cleanliness of their location in both Guest view and back areas while providing excellent Guest Service.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will be able display and live out Lead with Love qualities, strongly rooted in the Dollywood Company culture, by being patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, dedicated and accountable.

Summary of Essential Functions and Responsibilities

Take orders, serve, prepare, and store high quality food, measure ingredients, understand time and temperature sheets and complete hourly.
Answer guest questions about menu items and pricing, and execute proper cash handling procedures
Promptly and courteously greet each guest with a Smile, eye contact, and good body language treating each guest as an individual
Prepare and serve food that complies with the expected Dollywood quality, quantity, and presentation, and state health code requirements
Stocking and organizing work areas throughout the day and before you leave your shift, proper pulling, delivery, rotation of products based on FIFO, and storage of product, recording information
Know and follow all procedures regarding the execution of Dining Pass, Meal Vouchers, Gift vouchers, other internal vouchers, etc
Operation of a variety of kitchen equipment including, but not limited to fryers, steamers, Taylor Grills, hot dog rollers, pretzel maker, and ovens.
Hosts may be required to be 18 years of age to operate some equipment
Stock and organize the kitchen, food lines, food bars, work areas, and dining areas
Clean and sanitize work areas, Guest dining areas, equipment, utensils, dishes, or silverware, as well as sweep, scrub or mop the floor, trash removal, and clean windows as needed
Protect company assets:
money, merchandise, equipment.
Maintain accurate records and loss prevention techniques by reporting any shoplifting, counterfeit bills, or any other activities that may be detrimental to the Park
Provide courteous service and attention to detail which includes, but not limited to Guest satisfaction and suggestive selling
Wear, keep clean, and maintain themed costume issued by Dollywood's Splash Country
Enforces and adheres to all Park, department, and safety policies and procedures
Follow all procedures/standards affecting Foods financial standing such as portion control, suggestive selling, clocking in/out properly, and completion of tasks in a timely and accurate manner
Understand, practice, and be compliant with all safety standards within Sevier County and TN Department of Health relating to personal safety and safety of fellow hosts and guests
Follows All Host Safety Standards and General Safety Training guidelines and uses associated injury prevention measures.
Suspend operations when continuation would be inconsistent with Safety Standards or Procedures or presents a safety hazard to Guests or Hosts

Management reserves the right to change and/or add to these duties at any timeEducation and Experience

Must be at least 14 years of age
Basic computer skills
Must successfully complete post-employment offer background check and drug screen

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Able to project Dollywood's image by being genuinely friendly and caring and by taking pride in their work
Must be self-motivated and disciplined
Must be able to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basis
Must maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged information
Must display and live out our Lead with Love principles by being:
patient, kind, trusting, unselfish, truthful, forgiving, and dedicated.
Must be willing to constantly improve
Must have professional appearance with good personal hygiene
Must promote and support a "team" work environment by cooperating and helping co-workers
Must adapt to changes easily
Must tolerate a fast-paced, hectic environment
Must show appreciation to others
Must be sensitive to the needs of our Guests and feel empowered to take action to meet their needs within company guidelines
