Lead-Technical Support Specialist

The Lead-Technical Support Specialist provides support to the planning, deployment and maintenance of clinical systems and services.
Maintains technical skills within the Epic ecosystems to determine those which best meet clinical user needs.
Works with the cross-functional teams to identify and analyze needs and assist in the acquisition and installation of appropriate local computing solutions to support clinical user requirements.
Leads the effort to maintain and administer support procedures and documentation.
Performs other related duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage low to moderate technical issues and incidents involving various software, networking and hardware environments.
Track and support efficiency and effectiveness of incident and problem management system.
Actively support customers in all aspects through to problem resolution, keeping customers informed and updated throughout life of incident.
Maintain support procedures and documentation.
Understand customer's impact, prioritize and communicate effectively between various stakeholders.
Identify and recommend root cause analysis techniques to determine cause and resolve complex system issues.
Stay abreast of the latest changes, trends and technological advancements in the industry.
Provide guidance, assistance, and mentoring support to junior team members.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet the goals and objectives of the department and institution.
Maintains regular and predictable attendance.
Minimum Education and/or Training:
High School Diploma/GED required.
Minimum Experience:
Minimum requirement:
6 years of significant experience using and supporting a broad range of computer applications.
Strongly desire experience with Epic EHR, SCCM, and IGEL.
Significant experience in using and supporting mobility devices (e.g.
Apple; Android).
Experience use and/or support of enterprise computer solutions and applications.
Experience with techniques, hardware, and software required for networking.
Experience working with a wide range of users across teams for complex IT issues.
Compensation In recognition of certain U.S.
state and municipal pay transparency laws, St.
Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role.
This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $31.50 - $55.00 per hour for the role of Lead-Technical Support Specialist.
