About the Role:
To operate a box truck or similar vehicle to pick up and deliver parts, materials, and finished products. To service customers in the local area.
Requirements:
High School Diploma
Valid driver's license and approved driving record by insuring company.
Company certification in forklift driving.
Ability to read directions and use a street map to plot delivery route.
Ability to maintain simple logs and records.
Ability to carry out work instructions without constant supervision.
Your Responsibilities:
Loads trucks with required parts, purchase or manufactured.
Determines most efficient order of delivery and prepares schedule showing order to be followed.
Delivers orders and receives proper payments.
Maintains simple records of deliveries and truck mileage.
Flows maintenance schedule for having truck serviced. Take other vehicles for service when instructed to do so. Reports any mechanical problems to supervisor.
Assists in general warehouse duties upon completing delivery route.
