IT Business Analyst

Trisian-Global Consulting LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Business Analyst for an on-site position in the Memphis area.

The Information Technology (IT) Business Analyst acts as a bridge between the business and IT teams, ensuring that technology solutions align with business needs and objectives. This role involves analyzing business processes, identifying areas for improvement, gathering and documenting requirements, and working with technical teams to design and implement IT solutions that drive business success.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Requirements Gathering & Analysis:

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and goals.

Elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements to guide IT solutions.

Conduct feasibility analysis to assess business and technical requirements.

Process Improvement & Solution Design:

Analyze current business processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements.

Work with IT teams to design and implement technology solutions that meet business requirements.

Ensure proposed solutions are scalable, cost-effective, and align with industry best practices.

Communication & Stakeholder Management:

Serve as the primary point of contact between business stakeholders and the IT team.

Prepare and deliver clear and concise documentation, presentations, and reports for stakeholders.

Facilitate meetings, workshops, and discussions to gather and validate requirements.

Project Management Support:

Assist in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.

Track project progress, ensure deadlines are met, and communicate risks and issues.

Support the development and testing phases to ensure solutions meet business needs.

Testing & Validation:

Develop test plans and cases based on business requirements.

Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate solutions and ensure alignment with business goals.

Monitor post-implementation performance to ensure successful solution deployment.

Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain up-to-date documentation of requirements, processes, and technical specifications.

Create reports and presentations to communicate project status and performance metrics to stakeholders.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.

Proven experience as a Business Analyst in an IT environment.

Strong knowledge of business process modeling, requirements gathering, and IT project life cycles.

Proficiency in using business analysis tools (e. g. , JIRA, Microsoft Visio, etc. ).

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is preferred.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

Education/Experience/Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field

3+ years of experience in business and data analysis, preferably in a consulting or IT environment

Certifications such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA (Professional in Business Analysis) are a plus

Familiarity with ERP systems, CRM tools, or data analytics platforms is advantageous

Strong understanding of database structures, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts

Proficient in SQL and experience with data querying and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or QlikView

Experience with business process mapping and documentation

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and provide actionable insights

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and data integrity

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

Knowledge of Agile methodologies is a plus

• Analysis of As Is and To Be: Support and contribute to the documentation of as is and to be processes and describe the changes required to migrate to the to be capability to record accurately the change required.
