Position Title: Processing Supervisor Department: Operations Reports to: Assistant Store ManagerPosition Purpose and Objectives

The Processing Supervisor will oversee day to day functions of the production team. This includes upholding company standards throughout all areas of the store, remaining aware of daily production goals, and monitoring and ensuring fast, accurate and efficient processing from team members. Processing Supervisors will take a hands-on approach to auditing, quality control checking and side by side involvement in daily activities in order to observe, assess, train and coach performance. Processing Supervisors will set the example for donor experience, productivity and customer service guided by America's Thrift Stores Core Values.

Roles and Responsibilities

Direct and supervise the work of departmental production team members.

Manage inventory tracking systems to record deliveries and stock levels.

Analyze daily product and supply levels to anticipate inventory problems and shortages and take corrective actions to ensure sufficient inventory levels.

Inform team members of operating plan targets and progress against targets.

Assist with recruiting, selection, onboarding, and training team members.

Schedule team members according to the store's labor needs.

Capable of performing all duties required of processing team members.

Provide regular observation, interaction, coaching, and recognition of team members.

Ensure high standards of merchandise freshness, condition, pricing, and shop-ability.

May be called upon to assist General Manager with the set-up of sales and marketing promotions & programs.

Assist donors per Company standards.

Maintain respectful, values-driven workplace.

Use open communication tools and convert team member input into meaningful action.

Bring complaints to the attention of Assistant Store Manager, or General Manager, in order to resolve issues consistent with America's Thrift Stores values, policies and procedures.

Protect company assets and information by ensuring their safe handling, security and integrity.

Proactively promote loss prevention awareness by upholding procedures and ensuring policies are in place.

Maintain a safe work environment through education, consistent follow up, ensuring policies and procedures are in place, and supporting the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA).

In the absence of the Assistant Store Manager, implements and oversees the production process and team in accordance with all policies, procedures, regulations, and laws.

Makes decisions and takes reasonable action in the absence of the Assistant Store Manager and/or General Manager.

Performs any other task, function or responsibility as instructed by their immediate supervisor and/or superior manager of the Company.

Skills and Qualifications

At least two years' experience as supervisor, team lead and/or key holder in retail or industrial processing industry.

Basic Mathematical skills.

Basic computer skills.

Basic reading comprehension skills.

Must be able to carry up to 50 lbs, push and pull up to 25 lbs, and lift up to 50 lbs.

High School diploma or GED preferred.

Ability to communicate well in both verbal and written forms.

Ability to observe, assess and coach the work of others.

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written and/or verbal form.

Ability to reason, make decisions, and use independent judgment in various situations.

Must be able to pass background check and drug screen.

Physical Demands:

Occasionally - Carrying up to 50 lbs. , pushing and pulling up to 25 lbs. , lifting up to 50 lbs. , climbing up to 14-foot height, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, handling and smelling.
