Business Development RepresentativeLocation: This position will service the Chattanooga and Northern Georgia area, meaning you must reside and be able to travel within this territory.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, sales, or a related field is required.

Experience:

Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in the industry relevant to the business.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and expanding market presence.
Experience in managing a geographic territory and developing strategic sales plans.

Basic Function:

The Business Development Representative is responsible for managing and growing sales within a designated geographic area. This role involves strategic planning, customer relationship management, new business development, and achieving sales goals. The Business Development Representative will represent the company's products or services, identify new business opportunities, and maintain positive client relations to drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities:1. Sales Strategy Implementation

Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy for the territory to meet or exceed sales targets.
Analyze market trends and competitor activity to adjust strategies and capitalize on market opportunities

2. Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong, long- lasting customer relationships
Engage with key clients to understand their business needs and objectives, ensuring their satisfaction and continued service usage

3. Business Development

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the territory.
Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop targeted pitches and strategies that resonate with potential clients

4. Sales Reporting

Prepare regular reports on territory performance, including sales achievements, pipeline, forecasts, and market conditions
Use CRM tools to track customer interactions, sales processes, and outcomes

5. Performance Management

Meet and exceed sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements and preparing an annual budget
Monitor expenses and analyze budget variances to maximize profitability

6. Client Education and Support

Educate customers on how products or services can beneficially impact their operations
Provide after-sales support to ensure the services are meeting their needs

7. Networking

Attend industry conferences, networking events, and meetings to build relationships and identify business opportunities
Represent the company professionally in all client and industry interactions

8. Team Collaboration

Collaborate with other sales team members and departments to optimize the client experience and ensure alignment with the company's strategies
Provide feedback to the management team on market trends, challenges, and product needs

9. Training and Development

Stay informed of new products, services, and other general information of interest to clients
Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance sales skills and industry knowledge

10. Compliance and Ethics

Ensure all business activities comply with relevant legal, regulatory requirements, and company policies
Uphold the company's values and ethos in all dealings with clients and colleagues

Skills:

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to persuade and close sales
Strong analytical and organizational skills, with a systematic approach to problem-solving
High degree of self-motivation and autonomy, but also teamwork skills
Ability to work under pressure, plan personal workload effectively, and delegate
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and customer relationship management software

Physical Demands:

Ability to travel extensively within the territory
Frequent visits to client sites, which may include manufacturing facilities or offices

Work Environment:

This position operates in a home office environment but involves frequent travel to client sites and meetings

FSLA Status:

This position is classified as Exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FSLA), meaning it is not eligible for overtime pay.
