Job Summary

The Audit Assistant Intern will directly support team members involved in conducting Franchise Audits. This role will not only assist with audit tasks but also conduct research and help with special projects. The intern will acquire invaluable experience regarding the Franchise Audit process and insights into the financial operations of Servpro Franchises.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

Draft audit correspondence on behalf of audit team members
Conduct preliminary reviews of audit materials submitted by Franchise owners
Request additional documentation as necessary
Prepare initial summaries of audit findings for audit staff
Maintain internal audit process tracking systems
Review Royalty Revisions provided by Franchise owners
Assist the audit manager with special projects for the audit department

Required Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel)
Detail-oriented and highly dependable
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Able to understand and interpret legal documents such as franchise license agreements
Exceptional project management and time management capabilities
Knowledge of QuickBooks or other equivalent accounting software is a plus

Related Work Experience

Experience in roles demanding time and project management
Experience requiring a strong attention to detail and excellent communication abilities

Education

Pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field
A minimum GPA of 3.0 is required
