What You Will Do:

We are seeking a Direct Sourcing Manager. In this role you will support and coordinate activities involved with Engineering, Operations, Customer Service, and Procurement teams in preparing Request for Quotes (RFQs), negotiating contracts, and managing suppliers involved with direct materials/services. In addition you will be responsible for material availability, integral to supporting electronic component manufacturing, or other categories as assigned to support Astronautics.

This is an on-site position, with flexibility to work from home, located at our Headquarters in Oak Creek, WI. You will report directly to our Procurement Manger.

How You Will Do It:

You will lead multi-functional teams in the development of specifications, statements of work, and terms and conditions, not limited to the procurement of engineered products, electronic components, capital equipment, and assigned categories.
Prepare RFQ/bid packages.
Analyze and evaluate proposals, negotiate long-term pricing agreements.
Negotiate commercial terms.
Select or recommend suppliers/aggregate spend/support sourcing efforts.
Issue contracts and administer resulting contracts.
Participate and assist in developing procurement policies and procedures.
Develop and supports strategies for negotiation with direct material vendors.
Develop and support strategies for identifying, selecting, qualifying, and maintaining relationships with vendors.
Leverage economies of scale to best meet the purchasing needs of the business in terms of cost, quality, and vendor ability.
Lead and facilitate sourcing initiatives in collaboration with other functional business departments.
Analyze complex data to identify sourcing opportunities, and drive cost savings in assigned direct material categories
Research market dynamics, cost drivers, historical spend, and industry trends to enhance negotiations
Ensure compliance around pricing, payment terms, volume commitments, rebates, etc.
Manage key supplier performance goals and objectives as consistent with Procurement department goals
Participate as key interface with Program Management team and cross-functional teams.

What We Look For:

Required:

You must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
A Bachelor's Degree Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or another relevant related field from an accredited institution.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, specifically involving direct sourcing.
- We would ask that you procurement experience be in electronics manufacturing or another manufacturing industry
A minimum of 2 years of experience in direct supervisor or management of a team.
Knowledge of cost/price analysis.

Desired:

Knowledge of FAR/DFAR and commercial procurement regulations.
A CPM or CPSM certification
Previous experience in an AS9100/ISO9001 environment.
