At Johnstone Supply - The Founder's Group, we're looking for a talented Financial Planning Analyst who's passionate about driving business insights and innovation.

The Financial Planning Analyst is responsible for organizing and analyzing operational and financial data and developing new reporting and insights. The Financial Planning Analyst will have heavy involvement in assisting with data validation, mapping and reporting for an upcoming ERP implementation, deep diving into financial data to provide business insights and creating analytical dashboards. In addition to playing a critical role in monthly close and reporting, this position will assist in the formulation of an annual budget and monthly forecast process.

In this role, you'll be a key player, working closely with our leadership team to transform data into actionable strategies that boost performance across the company. Your expertise will help us fine-tune our operations and unlock new opportunities for growth.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Innovate and Drive Change: Collaborate with cross functional teams to design and enhance financial reporting systems, ensuring top-notch visibility into all aspects of our business
• Be a Business Partner: Provide key insights and actionable data to business leaders, helping them make decisions that drive success and improve our bottom line

• Create reporting tools and financial models that provide insight into past performance and future trends.
• Lead the financial data validation process on an upcoming ERP integration/implementation.
• Leads the development of financial reporting reports/dashboards via the use of various reporting tools/software/ERP.
• Mine, analyze, interpret, and apply data for business planning, decision making, and recommendations to management.
• Validates and ensures financial data and work products are complete and accurate.
• Act as a key finance contact to the business and communicate effectively with non-financial leaders.
• Document policies and procedures for reporting and forecast processes as they are developed.
• Brings data analysis contributions to the team by working independently, thinking critically, and identifying root causes issues.
• Analyze data to make recommendations and drive actionable outcomes.
• Perform ad hoc analyses and special projects as assigned.
• Drive process improvements and reporting simplification.

• Experience working with BI Tools, ERP Implementation/Upgrade and Extracting Data/Developing reporting from Data Lake preferred.
• Comfortable with ambiguity.

• BA/BS or MBA in Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or related fields with relevant finance experience
• 5+ years of related experience, with wholesale distributor experience preferred
• Proven experience in financial data analysis, modeling, and reporting financial performance
• In-depth finance knowledge (P&L, Balance Sheet) and comfort with standard accounting methods and US GAAP
• Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and timelines
• Excellent computer skills including Excel and PowerPoint, experience with Infor products and BI Tools a plus
• Ability to work independently, developing processes and execute deliverables from general direction
• Ability to communicate complex financial information to a variety of audiences with clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail, data integrity and accuracy
• ERP implementation or upgrade experience preferred
• Ability to work with robust databases to extract and manipulate data
• Ability to calculate key financial metrics such as gross margin, discount rate, EBTIDA, and expenses as a % of sales
• Ability to identify data error patterns within ERP and other software platforms
• Proficiency with large data sets and analytical tools
• Proven ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships and work effectively with others to solve problems
