About the Role
As a Security Technical Program Manager, you will drive strategic security initiatives across the Security Operations Center (SOC), Security Engineering, Application Security (AppSec), and GRC. You will lead cross-functional efforts, ensuring alignment with security objectives and managing the seamless execution of security programs. In this role, you will oversee OKR-related initiatives, handle ad hoc operational "run-the-business" needs, and drive process improvements across the security landscape, all while responding to urgent security requests.
This is a high-impact role that requires technical expertise, leadership, and the ability to influence across IT, Engineering, and other XFN teams. You will be accountable for ensuring security programs meet their objectives and are delivered on time.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Security Projects:
Manage key security initiatives in Security Engineering, SOC, AppSec, and GRC. Ensure security programs align with organizational OKRs and deliver the intended outcomes across security teams
Operational Oversight:
Assist with ad hoc day-to-day "run the business" security operations. Identify opportunities for process enhancements and operational efficiencies across the security team.
Urgent Security Responses :
Prioritize and address critical or urgent requests in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Cross-Functional Collaboration :
Work closely with IT, Engineering, and other teams to ensure seamless cross-functional coordination and execution of security projects.
Reporting and Accountability :
Establish key performance indicators (KPIs), track progress, and ensure regular reporting on security program status. Hold stakeholders accountable for meeting program milestones and timelines.
Influence Across Teams :
Use your expertise to influence cross-functional teams to stay aligned with security initiatives and organizational priorities. Drive alignment and accountability in technical and non-technical discussions.
Drive Process Improvements :
Constantly seek areas to enhance processes, focusing on improving program management efficiencies and security program execution.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in technical program management, with a focus on security, cloud environments, or software development.
Basic understanding of core security principles to enable cross-functional collaboration in Application Security and Infrastructure/IT security
Proven ability to manage and deliver complex technical programs or projects
Strong understanding of security frameworks, standards, and best practices (e.g., NIST, ISO, SOC 2).
Experience in tracking KPIs, reporting on security program/project performance, and holding teams accountable for results.
Strong collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally with IT, Engineering, and other stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical concepts into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in identifying process improvements and enhancing operational efficiencies within security programs.
Preferred:
Proven ability to influence across all levels of an organization, from technical teams to leadership.
Certifications like PMP, CISSP, or CISM are a plus but not required.
Compensation:
