• Job Summary:
• The Technical Expert/Functional Expert will be responsible for providing industry and government recognized functional expertise in a large and complex IT environment. This role requires a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field along with at least 8 years of experience in a similar environment. Alternatively, candidates with 5 years of full-time computer science work in lieu of a Bachelor's degree will also be considered. A Master's Degree in Computer Science can substitute for 2 years of experience, and industry-recognized professional certifications can substitute for a year of experience.
• Responsibilities:
• - Configuration, tuning, testing, and advanced troubleshooting of high-performance filesystems like XFS, GPFS, and Lustre
• Troubleshooting and support of HPC farm systems and associated applications such as Nagios, xcat, failover software, and compilers
• Working knowledge of HPC MPP systems
• Configuration, tuning, testing, and troubleshooting of distributed computing tools like RES, LSF, and SLURM
• Configuration, tuning, testing, and troubleshooting of RedHat and SuSe operating systems
• Qualifications:
• - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a large and complex IT environment
• Industry-recognized professional certifications preferred (e.g., RHCSA, V M Ware)
• IAT Level II Certification required

Jacquelyn Tate Memorial Scholarship Opportunity . BCT provides a $1,000 scholarship annually for one employee or child enrolled in an undergraduate program in memory of our founding President, Jacquelyn Tate. BCT leadership communicates an annual call for essays to compete for this scholarship with an award date of August 12 each year.
