Role Description
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer or Chief Data Officer, establish 1910's standard IT best practices.
Be responsible for the planning, execution, and management of IT projects to support 1910 goals.
Oversee IT onboarding and offboarding tasks, along with being tasked with hardware management.
Manage relationships with external vendors and manage the internal tooling they provide.
Lead and optimize IT infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
Implement and maintain security protocols to protect company data and systems.
Develop and maintain plans for disaster recovery and business continuity.
Identify and implement new technologies to enhance operational efficiency and support innovation.
Plan and manage the installation of new organization-wide systems and applications for more specialized functions, assist departments in planning and executing the installation of new systems.
Provides Tier I to III/other support per request from various constituencies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field.
10+ years of experience as a strategic IT leader, with at least 3 years in a VC backed tech or techbio AI native startup.
10 years of expertise in networking, systems administration, and cloud computing (AWS, Azure, etc.).
10 years experience with implementing and managing IT support tools and ticketing systems.
10 years of extensive technical knowledge of Windows network/server architectures, Active Directory, M365, G-Suite, and Teams/SharePoint; knowledge of Linux a plus.
Knowledgeable with Microsoft Cloud/Server technologies, M365, internal and voice networks.
Experience with workforce management systems, ideally Rippling.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and improve operational efficiency.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to balance multiple projects at once and maintain documentation and reporting.

Experience working for a biotechnology or healthcare company.
