Requirements:

~ CA RN License
~ BLS, ACLS, NIH certifications
~2 years of RN experience in MedSurg/Telemetry
~ Previous EPIC experience required

Job Responsibilities:

Assessment and Planning of Patient Care:
Conduct comprehensive patient and family assessments, considering physiological, spiritual, and emotional factors.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop and coordinate patient-centric care plans.
Streamline patient workflow and improve outcomes through effective communication and collaboration.
Ensure continuity of care by communicating plans to co-workers and during shift changes.
Provision of Patient Care:
Deliver competent, compassionate, and cost-effective care in line with hospital policies and evidence-based practices.
Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and their support groups.
Delegate tasks effectively, considering legal scopes of practice and team member capabilities.
Communicate treatments and activities clearly to patients and families, ensuring understanding and addressing educational needs.
Stay informed on best practices and advancements in acute care and specialty areas.
Evaluation of Patient Care:
Monitor and evaluate patient care interventions and outcomes, adjusting plans as needed.
Conduct ongoing education for patients and families to ensure optimal care through transitions.
Document patient responses and update electronic health records accurately.
Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to new staff, assisting with orientation and competency validation.
Education and Certification:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
RN-Registered Nurse of California
BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support
NIHSS-National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale
Skills and Knowledge:
Strong knowledge of nursing theories, medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
Familiarity with healthcare industry regulations and patient privacy standards.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
Time management and organizational skills to prioritize patient care and meet deadlines.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
Critical thinking skills to solve routine and complex problems.
Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.
