Leidos Defense Systems currently has an opening for a Senior Software Engineer supporting the RF Engineering portfolio in Huntsville, AL with the Aerospace Systems Group.
This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience in software development and software maintenance for advanced RF systems that provide critical information to customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing the software engineering for full stack software, including the design, development, testing, troubleshooting, and debugging of software programs for enhancements and new software-intensive systems and products.
Duties include software requirements analysis, analysis of hardware compatibility, development of software products and tools used for design, development and maintenance of infrastructure, and platforms.Basic Qualifications:
Computer Science, Information Technology, Software, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, Math or Physics or similar degree with 12 years of experienceFluent in Python with Django experienceDatabase Experience - such as PostgreSQLFront-end JavaScript frameworks such as Vue.jsGit version ControlExperience with software designComfortable with Linux OSStrong problem solving and analytical skillsPreferred Qualifications:
Experience with message queues, containerization such as PodMan or Docker, Java, C++, and Agile development.Security Requirements:
Candidate must be a US Citizen and possess (as well as maintain) a Final Top Secret clearance.

Pay Range:


Pay Range $122,200.00 - $220,900.00 The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
