JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under the supervision of the Director of Speech/Language Pathology, the Rehabilitation Director and the Staff Speech/Language Pathologist provides speech therapy to the residents.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work under the Director of Speech/Language Pathology to provide speech therapy to the residentsAssist in screening, evaluating, and treatment of residents in accordance with comprehensive care planningOther duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

Possess knowledge of age-specific developmental factors for adult and geriatric residents

Must have a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech/Language Hearing Association

Must have a current New York State License as Speech/Language Pathologist

Long-term care experience preferred but not required
