The Director of Conduct and Student Resources position develops, implements and monitors strategies to achieve a campus environment that encourages collegiate civility and standards of conduct by serving as the primary conduct officer and working with students in addressing gaps in basic needs, including but not limited to food insecurity, housing insecurity, homelessness, transportation, childcare, health insurance coverage, utility assistance, short term financial support, chronic or persistent poverty, domestic violence, legal issues, and other unanticipated events in their lives.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Student Conduct Responsibilities
• Adjudicates and investigates student conduct and behavior assessment cases; holds administrative hearings and determines sanctions, as necessary.
• Responsible for assisting with individual and group crisis and emergency situations, providing mediation and other informed intervention to assist students in resolving conflict with department's response to difficult and sensitive public inquiries and complaints, development of resolutions, and recommendations for alternatives.
• Collaborates with the Aware Team as it relates to student discipline and student behavior concerns.
• Develop and efficient office procedures to ensure fair, consistent, and timely
response to allegations of violations of college standards of conduct.
• Serve on college relevant to Behavior and Wellness and Title IX.
• Advise, provide guidance, prepare, deliver presentations on issues pertaining to student conduct and Title IX.
• Responsible for building positive relationships with faculty and staff and providing proactive best practices for addressing student behavior.
• Educates faculty and staff about student/faculty rights, campus resources, classroom behavior management techniques, and informal/formal channels of conflict resolution.
• Serve as a backup Title IX Investigator.
Wraparound Services Responsibilities
• Implement a comprehensive wraparound services (Ivy Cares) program that assists and supports students.
• Serve as the primary contact for food and housing insecurity within the college and in the greater community; represent the College on statewide committees and task forces related to Ivy Cares services to students.
• Serve as a member of the Aware Team.
• Provide referrals to and assistance accessing college and community support services and resources including but not limited to SNAP, WIC, Head Start, shelter assistance, and physical health care referrals.
• Create and implement comprehensive food pantry and inclusive clothing closet programs that provide equitable access and service to students across all campus locations.
• Conduct individual triage/case management; meet with individual student's basic needs security and access issues.
• Identify assessment methods that will allow for the collection of relevant data on identified goals, outcomes, and objectives.
• Work with internal and external partners to coordinate workshops pertaining to financial literacy, accessing safety net programs, understanding health insurance, free/low-cost legal services, tax preparation services, and other similar programs and services.
• Utilize college systems including, but not limited to, Maxient, Accommodate and Salesforce products to maintain accurate records and streamline processes.
• Collaborate with the College's Foundation Office to identify opportunities for grants; provide assistance as needed in the management of awarded grants and gifts.
• Cross-train to support disability student services.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Compensation:
$55,500-57,250

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Working knowledge of student conduct process, Title IX in educational setting
• Attention to detail and strong follow-up skills required.
• Working knowledge of community resources.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
• Ability to learn and manage different online platforms.
PREFFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Master's Degree preferred.
• Experience working with Maxient or other reporting software.
• Experience in student services.
• ATXIA Certification.
• Two years or more experience working with student conduct.
Official Academic Transcripts required at time of hire, sent directly from issuing institution to the Office of Human Resources.
