The Opportunity
As a Software Engineering Intern, you will work closely with our senior engineers and product managers to design, implement, and test new features and products.
You will also have the opportunity to learn from industry experts and contribute to the improvement of our software development processes and practices.
You will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team that values creativity, curiosity, and excellence.
Key Priorities and Responsibilities
Work with your assigned mentor to understand the main objective of the internship.
Research, design, implement, and test engineering solutions in consultation with other engineers.
Collaborate with other engineers and product managers to deliver high-quality products that meet user needs and expectations.
Follow best practices and standards for coding, documentation, and testing.
Research and learn new technologies and tools to enhance your skills and knowledge.
Provide feedback and suggestions to improve the quality and performance of our software products.
Present your work at the end of the internship.
Following all Ballmer Group security and office procedures, rules, and regulations

The Ideal Candidate

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
Strong programming skills in one or more programming languages (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, React, NodeJS).
Familiarity with web development, mobile development, or cloud computing.
Experience with using version control, debugging, and testing tools.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Passion for learning new technologies and creating innovative solutions.

The position is based in Bellevue, Washington and our organization practices intentional hybrid work.
All USAFacts employees are expected to work on-site Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays during overlapping core hours of 10:
00 am to 3:
00 pm.
Mondays and Fridays remain flexible work-from-home or office workdays.
This intern position is a not-exempt role located in Bellevue, WA.
The intern role is paid at a rate of $30 per hour.
It is not eligible for company benefits but will be provided with an ORCA card for transportation to and from work or parking in/near the building.
The internship is available from May-September, depending on school schedule and we do not coordinate credits through the intern's institution.
