Job Summary:
Client is seeking a Software Development Senior Specialist to join our team in Rockville, MD (Hybrid 1-2 days/week). This role will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining software applications using C#, ASP.NET MVC, and other technologies. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership and work on custom software solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop high-performance, scalable web applications.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop new features and/or maintain existing applications built on C# and ASP.NET MVC.
• Develop code and supporting documentation.
• Analyze business needs, develop requirements, design, and test custom software solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and account for cross-system integration during development.
• Provide maintenance for current applications while developing new solutions.
• Collaborate in a team environment to develop, test, and deploy software changes.
• Work with customers to implement new requirements and provide operational support.
• Manage the product backlog of features and bugs.
• Provide input on new designs and architecture as needed.
• Develop well-tested, high-performance, scalable web applications.
Required Qualifications:
• 8+ years of experience designing, developing, and deploying web-based applications using C#, .NET MVC, .NET Core, SQL Server, JavaScript, TFS.
• 8+ years of experience with RDBMS, databases, and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in software development.
• BS/MS degree in MIS, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and working with N-Tier Architecture.
• Experience with software testing and design patterns.
• Strong customer service skills and experience interfacing with clients.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Experience with Windows Workflow Foundation (WF), Agile/SCRUM development methodologies.
• MS ASP.NET Certification is a plus.
• DevOps skills and experience are a plus.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
