LightFeather is seeking passionate and mission-driven ServiceNow Developers to join our team in Washington, DC. In this role, you will design, configure, develop, and implement both baseline and custom applications and enhancements on the ServiceNow platform, provide architectural input and ensure the platform's stability by adhering to best practices in design and development, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
This is a Full Time, Remote Position.
Responsibilities:
Work independently and as part of a technical team in a multi-instance, multi-domain environment.
Utilize Agile/Scrum methodologies to manage development projects.
Provide expert guidance to functional and administrative teams on ServiceNow design, development, and best practices.
Collaborate with business, systems, and technology partners to define and document requirements.
Develop and implement solutions for requested enhancements to existing ServiceNow applications.
Write scripts for Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, ACLs, Workflow Activities, and more.
Facilitate the rollout of new applications and enhancements on the ServiceNow platform.
Analyze system performance and implement performance improvements as needed.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
US Citizenship.
Must possess or be able to obtain a Secret/Top Secret clearance.
Experience in developing ServiceNow applications:
1-2 years for Junior Level, 3-4 years for Mid Level, and 5+ years for Senior Level.
Strong knowledge of the ServiceNow suite, including Service Catalog, Service Portal, Reports, Incident Management, and Knowledge Base.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proven development experience outside the ServiceNow platform, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Familiarity with IT Service Management, Asset and Configuration Management, ITIL/ITSM, and PMP/PRINCE2 practices.
Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and project teamwork.
Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, including requirements translation, solution design, implementation, and enterprise monitoring.
Proficiency in handling large datasets and performing data analysis/modeling to support decision-making.
Preferred:
ServiceNow Developer Certification.
