Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a
ServiceNow Developer/Admin/QA
for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Financial clients in
Rockville, MD (hybrid 2 days/week).
MUST HAVE:
8+ years experience
3+ years of ServiceNow development
2+ years end-to-end implementations of a ServiceNow GRC application
Exp with NAVEX & Regology
Exp with AuditBoard is a plus
Responsibilities :
Refining Requirements Assistance:
Working with our Product Management team to make sure that requirements are comprehensive before the development process begins.
Design Ownership:
Analyzing highly complex business requirements and generating technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications. Advising as to the long-term impacts of a proposed solution with respect to maintenance and ability to work even with future upgrades.
Platform Configuration:
Configuring and customizing the ServiceNow platform in a balanced way to meet the organization's needs (required functionality) using best practices and not adding more customizations than necessary (risk). This involves creating and modifying tables, fields, business rules, UI policies, workflows, and other platform elements
Access Control Development:
Ensuring proper authentication mechanisms through setting up appropriate rights and Roles to match business requirements along with creating the related Groups in our Identity and Access Management platform that the users can request to be a part of without the ServiceNow team needing to be involved in manually providing access due to nightly LDAP sync.
Integration Development:
Integrating ServiceNow with other systems and applications to enable seamless data flow and automation between different platforms.
Reporting and Analytics:
Creating and maintaining reports, workspaces, dashboards, service portals, and data visualizations to meet the needs of our business partners and provide insights into the platform's performance and usage.
Quality Control:
Assuring that what is modified and/or built is as specified without introducing new bugs through various types of testing from peer review to regression testing. Troubleshooting ATFs and creating ATFs from scratch is required.
System Upgrades and Patches:
Participating in the testing of platform upgrades and patches to ensure that none of our processes break while keeping the system is up-to-date with the latest features and security fixes.
Periodic Maintenance:
Making timely routine updates such as password rotations, AMI/midserver upgrades, and other adaptive maintenance as needed so that we have no service interruptions.
Change Management:
Handling change management activities within JIRA which tracks planned changes including the evaluation of risks and ensuring proper approvals before implementing changes to the platform.
Migration Management:
Moving of update sets, utilizing application repository functionality, or carefully manually recreating the changes from one instance to another.
Documentation and Training:
Creating and updating documentation for system processes, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. Providing training to end-users and other stakeholders on how to use the ServiceNow platform effectively.
Problem Resolution:
Investigating and resolving issues and incidents related to the ServiceNow platform. This may involve troubleshooting technical problems, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions which could include reaching out to ServiceNow support as needed.
Continuous Improvement:
Proactively identifying opportunities for process improvements and optimizations within the ServiceNow environment.
Flexibility:
Thriving in an evolving environment. Adapting to change quickly and adjusting work accordingly in a positive manner.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering, or related field required
8+ years work experience required
At least 3 years development experience in the ServiceNow platform
Hands on experience with at least IRM/GRC and Business Continuity ServiceNow applications
Hands on experience in designing, developing and successful deployment of large-scale projects from end-to-end
Completed at least 2 end-to-end implementations of a ServiceNow GRC application
Experience with other SaaS products like NAVEX, Regology
Hands on experience in following an iterative and agile SDLC
Hands on experience in implementing ServiceNow integration with other applications or platforms via automated data imports and/or iHub spokes
Willingness to learn other SaaS products
Preferred Skills:
Experience with other SaaS products like AuditBoard
