Summary
The Senior Registered Nurse Specialist accurately assesses residents' health status and educational needs on an ongoing basis. They develop dynamic care plans based on the identified needs of the residents through an interdisciplinary approach. The role involves communicating and documenting care plans, identifying necessary nursing interventions, and using critical thinking skills to address residents' change in condition. The Senior Registered Nurse Specialist also maintains composure during crisis situations, and monitors the care of the residents closely to ensure effective delivery of the care plan.
Job Qualifications
Education from an accredited school of nursing resulting in a registered nurse license
Current RN license in the state of work
Long-term care experience preferred
CPR/AED certification required, or willing to obtain within six months of employment
Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills
Ability to stand, walk, lift heavy objects, and transfer patients when necessary
Manual dexterity, coordination, and visual acuity required
