Summary
As a

Senior Project Manager - Security Projects

at Gainwell, you will leverage your expertise to lead and drive the successful execution of security-focused projects, ensuring the protection of sensitive data, systems, and infrastructure for our clients.
Your work will directly contribute to improving the health and well-being of the members our clients serve, safeguarding some of the most vulnerable in our communities.

Your role in our mission
Elevate the quality and seamless execution of security initiatives as we design cutting-edge, purpose-built technologies and solutions to protect sensitive client systems and data.

Lead security-focused project teams by managing medium-sized initiatives or critical components of larger security programs.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement security measures, ensuring projects align with industry standards, compliance requirements, and organizational goals.
Actively participate in projects by coordinating resources, setting clear objectives, and providing leadership to ensure high-quality and timely deliverables.
Interface with clients and leadership to communicate project progress, metrics, and adjustments, fostering a transparent and collaborative relationship.
Create and manage detailed security-focused Statements of Work (SOWs), ensuring stakeholder alignment on project scope and deliverables.
Identify and mitigate security risks through proactive status reporting, risk assessments, and continuous monitoring of project milestones.
What we're looking for

6+ years of project management experience, with at least 3 years focused on leading security-related initiatives in healthcare, technology, or government sectors.
Proven experience with security frameworks such as NIST 800-53, ISO 27001, or similar, as well as managing compliance-related projects (e.g., HIPAA, HITRUST).
Strong understanding of project scheduling using Microsoft Project.
Exceptional ability to translate security strategies into actionable project plans with clear milestones and deliverables.
Leadership skills to guide and mentor team members in navigating security challenges.
An executive-level communicator capable of presenting complex security concepts to non-technical audiences.
A creative problem-solver with the ability to address and structure ambiguous security challenges.
Preferred Qualifications:


Hands-on experience in projects involving data protection, threat mitigation, or incident response in healthcare environments.
Familiarity with Medicaid, Medicare, or public sector healthcare systems and their unique security needs.
Proven ability to balance technical security considerations with broader business objectives.

The pay range for this position is $69,400.00 - $99,200.00 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
