Loch Harbour Group, Inc is seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer to join its growing contract supporting a federal government agency.
Must reside in the or willing to relocate to Washington, DC Metro Area.
The government customer requires the expertise of an experienced Senior Network Engineer to support its multiple networking initiatives across all areas of the division.
Specifically, the government customer is looking for expertise to provide network engineering and architectural-level services for operations, maintenance, network infrastructure, capacity management, reporting and IT enhancements for its systems.
Furthermore, this government agency requires expertise related to planning and implementing telecommunications and information technology infrastructures; networking experience which includes network access and security; Zero Trust; IT disaster recovery planning and execution; IT inventory control; audio, video, and web conferencing; wireless services; and voice (VoIP) and data services.
The Senior Network Engineer is a matrixed role supporting multiple projects and is expected to have the wherewithal to prioritize, communicate clearly, plan and tightly coordinate with a variety of stakeholders, while being self-driven.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Critical thinking, analytical thinking, understanding of Cisco routing/ switching, strong ability to ID and correct, and isolate, and troubleshoot network issues.
Experience and understanding of Cisco routing and switching, specifically with Cisco ISE, Cisco DNA Center, Experience planning for new technology deployments Proven experience with experience with virtual private networks (VPNs) remote access solutions and internal tunneling technologies, such as Cisco AnyConnect for remote access and GRE Tunneling/DMVPNS for the internal tunneling technologies Prior success with regards to enhancing an existing network monitoring capability or implementing a new technology.
Experience with voice over Internet Protocol (IP and configuring/troubleshooting enterprise routing designs.
Tracking network uptime on both the backbone and administrative networks and ability to execute detailed network assessments and audits to identify existing infrastructure limitations, potential bottlenecks, and areas of improvement.
Experience with Virtual Switching Architecture such as VRF and VSS to support secure multi-tenant design within DMZ based virtual enclave Proven success with implementing or upgrading enterprise wireless solutions Design, deploy and manage IEEE 802.1x network authentication, and proxy services.
Plan and coordinate non-emergency outages affecting service areas to include, but not limited to:
creating timely notification of outages; maintaining physical security requirements; and maintaining both physical and logical drawings of the processors, peripheral equipment, and their connectivity.
Provide network and system infrastructure reports generated to show uptime, circuit link/CPU utilization, threshold alarms, capacity of all network and system elements.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to technical team, ensuring the successful completion of network implementation projects.
Provides high level network troubleshooting, testing and updating standard code versions and device templates as well as remediating security findings.
Supports migration of existing cloud access point applications.
Identifies resources required for network designs, including upgrades, expansions, and enhancements (building, core, and Data Center).
Configures and installs network hardware and software to meet requirements and conform to technical Design Standards.
Provides in-depth engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives (VoIP) for government agencies in support of their strategic modernization efforts and telecommunications Knowledge of enhancement design for medium and large-scale telecommunication infrastructures.
Provides interface support to telecommunications end users, telecommunications operations personnel, and telecommunications strategic program management.
Monitors and responds to hardware, software, and network problems.
Provides the routine testing and analysis of all elements of the network facilities (including power, software, communications machinery, lines, modems, and terminals).
Utilizes software and hardware tools and identifies and diagnoses complex problems and factors affecting network performance.
Troubleshoots network systems when necessary and makes technical improvements to the network.

Must be a U.S.
Citizen Bachelor's Degree Must have 15 years performing network engineering Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
