GAI Consultants has a career-building opportunity for a Senior Project Technical Specialist within our Transportation and Infrastructure Unit's WV Roadway Design group. This position targets nonlicensed engineers. GAI is an established and growing multi-discipline engineering firm with tremendous growth opportunities. This position can be based out of multiple office locations and has the opportunity for a sign-on Bonus.
Requirements
Familiar with NBIS Inspection practices.
Capable of working at heights.
Familiarity with using Assetwise for Inspection reporting.
understanding of typical bridge inventory item coding
experience with inspection coordination between owners, contractors, riggers, flaggers, etc.
Certified NBIS team leader or capable of becoming one within 3 months.

Experience
16+ years of experience.
Education
B.S. Engineering or other technical degree, Master's Degree or Equivalent Experience Preferred

Technical Responsibilities
Develops standards and guidelines.
Leads a program in the organization in their area of specialization.
Develops appropriate design alternatives for complex engineering projects that consider realistic requirements, constraints, community input, permitting, and other regulatory constraints.
Integrates advanced concepts, including sustainability, to solve complex problems.
Project and Task Management
Oversees large or multidiscipline project teams.
Recommends facilities, personnel, and funds required to carry out programs.
Oversees technical, legal, and financial issues of an entire program.
Integrates these components into a complete project management plan for a complex engineering project.
Implements effective teamwork, leadership, and justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion principles into solutions for engineering problems.
Determines program objectives and requirements.
Develops organizational policies and procedures.
Management, Supervision and Guidance
Receives administrative supervision with assignments given in terms of broad general objectives and limits.
Implements staff development plans within their organizational segment, including technical, management, and leadership skills.
Advocates for and establishes professional attitudes within the organization.
Evaluates the effectiveness of leaders and teams, and their understanding and application of concepts of justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion.

Possesses exceptional oral and written communication skills, including negotiation of critical issues.
