Travel Nurse Across America is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Rapid City, South Dakota.

CLINICAL INTERVIEWS

Certs Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Experience Required: 1.5 years general nursing exp. First time traveler only accepted with 2 years PCU. Cardiac procedural recovery (CABG/TAVR/post cardiac cath), MI pharmacology, titratable Cardiac/vasoactive gtts (Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Levo, Dopamine) please request manager approval if traveler does not have this, Heparin gtts, cardiac rhythm interpretation, chest tubes management, TNK administration (preferred) EPIC preferred, needs manager approval if no exp.

Floating: Primarily to our sister unit, General PCU as needed

Could also be floated to MS/Tele or ICU to care for PCU level patients

Could be floated within scope of practice and below

Patient Types:

This is a mixed acuity unit meaning there will be Intermediate Care acuity as well as Tele and MedSurg.

Direct admits, ED admits, Post Cath Lab, etc

MI, NSTEMI & STEMI (IABP would go to ICU), CHF, Dysrhythmia management, Pacemaker malfunction, Epicardial pacers

Backup Stroke unit and Medical Overflow

Step down level experience with post cardiac/vascular, post-cardiac cath patients, post open heart surgery, post TAVR, post EP studies, post pacemaker insertion
