1.5 years general nursing experience (system requirement) BSN required MUST BE PCU LEVEL RN, willing to float to MedSurg/Tele Patient Types:
Common Diagnoses include but are not limited to:
Orthopedics Neuro (Stroke, Transient Ischemic Attack, etc.) Surgical Medical (Urinary Tract Infection, Pneumonia, Failure to Thrive, etc.) Intermediate Care (Sepsis, Diabetic Ketoacidosis, End-stage Renal, Alcohol Withdrawal, etc.) Oncology Heart and Vascular (Chest Pain, Heart Failure, Pre/Post Cardiac Cath, etc.) Patient Ratios:

BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Required Education:
Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing BSN required Skills required:
PCU level RN - willing to float to Med/Tele - this is a float pool position throughout scope of practice Must have experience with titration of all drips below Common titratable drips:
Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitro, Levo, Dopamine, Insulin Cardiac rhythm interpretation, IV starts, Blood product administration, CIWA, drain/tube management, indwelling and straight catheter insertion/management, continuous bladder irrigation, chest tube maintenance Experience with Cardiac procedural recovery (CABG/TAVR/post Cardiac Cath), MI pharmacology, Heparin gtts Support on the Unit:

Dedicated to each unit and one for the Float Pool itself - typically free floating Phlebotomy:

This is a float pool position floating routinely between:
