POSITION SUMMARY

The Precision Ag intern aids in the day-to-day operations of the innovation center precision ag department and innovation center parts department through sales, service, installation of hardware and parts, maintain inventory, training and assisting external as well as internal customers. This position will also assist with over all agronomy operations, including, mixing/blending of chemicals and fertilizer, operating machinery, and deliveries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in the installation and troubleshooting of precision equipment.
Service precision equipment as needed, at the location or on-site.
Learn and utilize the variety of ag tech tools that are offered to customers.
Perform all agronomy warehouse and plant operations tasks.
Follow label instructions and orders when loading crop protection products, blending fertilizer, and when treating seed.
Provide accurate, efficient, and safe unloading, loading, and delivery of product.
Adheres to all safety regulations, requirements, policies and procedures, including OSHA regulations, the vehicle policy and fleet safety program, and DOT regulations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Enrollment towards relevant agriculture degree. Enrollment in a precision ag program is preferred.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Must be 18 years or older.
English proficiency.
Valid Drivers License.
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator.
Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
Ability to work in confined spaces.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
