Scrum Master Contingent

ARETUM is seeking a dynamic Scrum Master with expertise in Agile methodologies and cloud computing environments to support high-performing teams. The ideal candidate will facilitate Agile processes, empower teams to self-organize, and ensure alignment with project goals and best practices. This role requires strong interpersonal, organizational, and technical understanding to foster collaboration and deliver high-quality outcomes in a DevOps environment.

Responsibilities

Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including project planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and backlog maintenance.
Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress to stakeholders.
Maintain and update process documentation to ensure transparency and accountability.
Support development teams in adhering to Agile principles and best practices.
Assist with internal and external communication to improve transparency and radiate information.
Proactively identify, prioritize, and resolve defects/bugs, ensuring smooth project progression.
Develop and maintain team standards, tools, and best practices for continuous improvement.
Identify and remove impediments, fostering an environment free from distractions.
Conduct or participate in program retrospectives for both qualitative and quantitative improvements.
Partner with Program and Project Managers to provide day-to-day technical oversight of projects.
Empower teams to self-organize and promote accountability across all levels.
Requirements

Certified Scrum Master with 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in cloud computing environments.
Proven experience working in a DevOps environment.
Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and principles.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse personality types.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to understand technical issues at a high level.
Effective communication skills to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications

Agile coaching experience with the ability to mentor teams on best practices.
5+ years of experience in critical thinking and problem-solving roles.
Federal Government contracting experience.
Familiarity with Section 508 compliance standards.
Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or additional Agile certifications.
Additional Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Clearance:

This position requires eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance as mandated by our federal client. U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency is required.
