The School Nurse assumesresponsibility and accountability for the application of the nursing processand the delivery of student/client care and/or contracted services in a schoolsetting. The School Nurse may also be in a supervisory position within the contractedservices. The School Nurse provides services in accordance with Amergis Healthcare's philosophy, standards, policies and physician orders.
Minimum Requirements:
Graduate of an accreditedregistered, practical or vocational nursing program
Licensed as a LicensedPractical, Licensed Vocational or Registered Nurse in state(s) where practicing
One year of professionalexperience, preferred
Current CPR
PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
Current Health certificate (percontract or state regulation)
Must meet all federal, state andlocal requirements
Must be at least 18 years of age

School assignments determined during orientation. Must be comfortable working anywhere in DC.
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience as an RN. Active DC RN license. Previous school nursing experience preferred or experience with pediatric population.
Additional Details:
Nurses will be assigned to a single school or a cluster of schools within a small radius. Schedule is typically shared 2 weeks in advance.
Contract/Hours:
Minimum of 13 weeks, Amergisum through the end of the school year. If an internal nurse is onboarded for a school where an agency nurse is, CSS can provide a 2 week notice for the nurse (possible school reassignment possible). Able to convert internally if preferred - temp to perm possible. M-F, 8a-4:30p.
