Materials Associate - 12-hour Day Shift

Position Summary

The PC&L Associate is responsible for loading and unloading materials to and from production lines, storage areas, and trailers. The operator is responsible for following the job responsibilities within the plant and/or warehouse while operating in a fast-paced environment:

+ Loads product, unloads product, receives product, ships product, moves materials at elevated heights, and issues material using system transactions.

Standard Duties:

+ PC&L Associate will be expected to safely perform all tasks assigned by Leadership including all positions within the Physical Logistics department.

+ Safely operates all equipment to which the individual is certified (ex):

+ Sit-down Forklifts

+ Stand Up Lifts (Both Reach and Pacer)

+ Tuggers

+ Electric Jacks

+ Reads and understands work instructions and/or follows oral instructions to execute the material flow requirements.

+ Manually loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, baskets, and shelves on foot and by hand as required (see physical requirements).

+ Accurately and timely enters materials transactional information into SAP and other systems as required.

+ Reads electronic and manual bill of materials, pull sheets, pick sheets to retrieve and deliver necessary materials for operations.

+ Support 5S / Housekeeping activities as required.

+ Use appropriate deviation areas, hold tags, to process defective parts through nonconforming material procedure.

+ Loads/Unloads materials into trailers adhering to Dock Safety Protocol.

+ Meet physical logistics KPIs, Associate Engagement and Teamwork

+ Adherence to FIFO standards throughout all storage areas and material flow points.

+ Wear all required PPE and follow box cutting safety protocols.

Safety, Health and Physical Requirements:

+ Stand for long periods of time including during operation of stand -up lifts.

+ Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs repetitively.

+ Stepping up and down off lift; walking long distances over extended periods.

+ Ability to work in a fast -paced environment.

+ Working in a non-climate -controlled environment.

+ Repetitive motion activities including but not limited to box cutting, standing, lifting, loading/unloading carts.

Education & Experience

Education:

High School diploma or GED required

Experience:

3 months of Powered Industrial Truck experience required Active Forklift Certification License preferred

Knowledge of SAP/ERP systems preferred

Experience in fast paced industrial lean environment preferred

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of SAP Inventory software; Excel Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
