MAU is hiring a Staffing Specialist in Anderson, SC. As a Staffing Specialist, you will process customer work orders and recruit, screen, orient, and hire personnel based on client specifications. Additionally, you will be responsible for counseling Associates and terminating job assignments, ensuring continuous applicant flow as required by the client, maintaining safe work environments, and ensuring legal compliance in the hiring and termination processes.

Required Education and Experience

* Bachelor's degree in communications, Business Management, Human Resources, or a related field; OR

* High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of equivalent experience

* 1-3 years of experience in a professional business environment

Preferred Requirements

* HR Certification (PHR or SHRM-CP) preferred

* Experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)

* Relevant experience in staffing, manufacturing, human resources, or as a production supervisor

Essential Functions

* Maintain a steady applicant flow by developing recruiting sources, processing candidates in the applicant tracking system, and collaborating with Recruitment Marketing campaigns

* Review work orders regularly and maintain communication with customers

* Handle the full employee lifecycle, including pre-screening, interviewing, hiring, counseling, evaluating, disciplining, and recommending employment status changes, up to and including terminations

* Consistently onboard new associates, aligning them with client-specific standards

* Administer company policies and procedures effectively

* Develop and update new hire orientations tailored to both new and existing clients

* Set up new pay and billing rates within the system, ensuring management approval

* Administer assessments as required by clients to ensure the right fit for job roles

* Receive, process, and analyze work orders from customers efficiently

* Manage merit, tenure, or incentive increases as needed

* Participate in the MAU 5S program where applicable

* Address and resolve invoice non-payment issues with customers

* Manage case files for injured employees, including conducting accident investigations, completing injury reports, and handling workers' compensation paperwork

* Attend unemployment and workers' compensation hearings as required

* Maintain strong customer relationships by conducting scheduled client site visits

* Ensure applicant pools meet predetermined levels to support quick fulfillment of job orders

Supervisory Responsibility

* Although the Staffing Specialist is responsible for hiring, counseling, and terminating MAU contract Associates at client locations, this role does not include direct supervisory duties. Top performers will excel as team players with strong mentoring skills.

Work Environment or Working Conditions

* Working conditions are determined by our customers' facilities, which span both administrative and manufacturing environments. This role regularly involves using standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Customer sites may also include process manufacturing equipment and heavy industrial vehicles. Environments can range from non-temperature-controlled areas to GMP-required clean rooms.

Physical Demands

This position may require the following to be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.

* Ability to lift weights of 5-15 lbs occasionally

* Ability to stand or walk for up to 8 hours

* Ability to climb stairs occasionally

* Ability to sit for extended periods of up to 8 hours
