A Senior Software Engineer is an essential part of a delivery team, creatively using their software design and development skills to engineer just-right solutions for internal and external customers. They are an engineer at their core, happily spending most of their time coding while maintaining excellent relationships with their customers and team members. Their expert knowledge and experience raise the bar for delivery teams through excellent problem-solving, delivery speed, exemplary attitude, and effectiveness. Energetic, focused, and competent are excellent terms to describe this role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Code - create solutions that meet the business needs while following best practices for design, development, testing, and deployment
Collaborate - help team members achieve collective deliverable goals by offering advice, paired programming, and knowledge-sharing
Engage - work closely with customers to acquire excellent business knowledge to right-size solutions, align with deliverable goals, and provide constant demonstrations of progress
Support - collaboratively maintain crucial business systems with their teammates while continually seeking ways to improve stability, knowledge sharing through training, and design/architectural excellence
Quality - take ownership in the quality of solutions by cross-checking teammate's deliverables using both manual and automated unit and regression testing

Qualifications

6+ years in software engineering with modern languages (C# preferred), RDBMS, and OOP
2+ years in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and API development
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science preferred; applicable experience acceptable

Physical Demands:

Constantly remain in a stationary position.
Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
Frequently operate standard office equipment such as a computer

Work Environment:

Office environment
Occasional travel may be required
