Overview of Position:
Responsible for dental clinics serve our patients efficiently and compassionately. The ideal candidate will be friendly, outgoing and highly organized. He or she will be responsible for all management duties for front office and clinical staff, including reception, hygienists, and dental assisting professionals. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED required. Bachelor's degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or similar field preferred.
5+ years' dental management experience required. Experience leading a multi-facility dental practice preferred.
Knowledge/Skills:
Excellent customer service and leadership skills.
Working knowledge of dental billing, regulatory requirements, and insurance protocols.
Some accounting experience preferred.
Ability to multi-task efficiently and excellent computer skills
Essential Job Functions:
Under the direct supervision of the Chief Operations Officer, the incumbent is responsible for the following duties at all Dental facilities:
Daily operations, policy and procedures, implementation, and staff management related to all dental offices/facilities. This includes weekly, monthly, and quarterly review of productivity and quality goals.
Create, establish and manage internal office protocols and procedures to ensure office efficiency.
Hire and train new office staff to respond to patients' needs.
Collaborate with the dentist(s) to provide feedback in order to improve operational and financial practices while ensuring an outstanding patient experience.
Maintain the dental clinic's budget.
Oversee the prior authorization process related to general preventive services and non-routine or specialty services.
Actively participates in dental practice activities and proactively seeks improvement initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirement:
Must possess the ability to communicate in the dominant language of the geographic region. Must be able to lift 30 pounds. Vision and hearing corrected within normal limits is required. Must have manual dexterity to key in data, grab, grip, hold, tear, cut, sort, and reach. Travel will be required and can be significant. Must have own vehicle and be licensed to drive.
